Winter has been making it's presence known with a 25 degree BELOW zero wind chill!! The good news is our groundhog, "Winter" at the Milwaukee County Zoo did NOT see her shadow. Spring is on it's way!
In my art room we spent the end of January working with porcupine quills on birchbark, creating a stop-motion animation about a porcupine getting her quills, and reading an Ojibwe legend about porcupines.
My 5th grade is working on a strip of loom beadwork that they will use on a fan handle.
And 4th grade is working on a stick weaving strip....a lot like straw weaving.
The days are getting longer and brighter!
Thanks for stopping by, as always,
